The Old Lady Speaks Podcast, Episode 186: The Early Season Awards Extravaganza!

With just about one-third of the 2023-24 Serie A season played and Juventus sitting in second place ahead of the Derby d’Italia this weekend, we dished out some thoughts on the early part of the campaign and had out some awards — both good and bad.

It’s the middle of an international break. Christmas is now just a little over a month away and your email inbox is probably already being bombarded with online ads. There hasn’t been any off-field controversies to occupy the news cycle surrounding Juventus like the previous two international breaks.

That means we can look back at the season to date as we eagerly await the weekend’s return to action in a big kind of way.

With that comes the awarding of ... some awards!

There were some good awards. There were some bad awards. There were plenty of players discussed both in good and bad ways. No matter what, Juventus was the topic of discussion in a positive and negative sense. We’re that much into the season now where there’s been enough games played to form some opinions on things and how players are playing and how things are starting to develop.
