Juventus finally unveiled teenage Brazilian starlet Kaio Jorge after weeks of will-he, won’t-he with a number of other top European clubs also trying to sign the 19-year-old.

Speaking to Juventus TV in his first interview after the news was announced, the forward spoke about why he chose to join the Bianconeri.

“I am very happy to be here. It’s been my dream since I was a kid and I look forward to playing many games in the Juventus shirt. It’s a big club, one of the biggest in Europe, and it’s always been my dream to play for Juve.

“I want to fight for titles and I hope to impress and become a top player here at Juve.”

The youngster is expected to join the first team squad and add depth in an area where Juventus was very thin at last season. Regarding his personal goals, the teenager added -

“My objective is to score and help my teammates as best I can and, if God wills it, win trophies like the Champions League.

“I am a very tactical and smart player and I’m constantly on the move. I like to cut inside and score goals.”

When asked if he had met his new coach and fellow players, Kaio Jorge didn’t seem awed by the big names who he’ll share a dressing room with.

“Yes I met them all and they all made me feel very welcome. I hope to start training with them soon.”

He has chosen the #21 shirt which like many others at a storied club like Juventus comes with a history.

“I have chosen the number 21 because some top players have worn it here - Andrea Pirlo, Paulo Dybala, Zinedine Zidane and Gonzalo Higuain.

“So I hope to score many goals wearing this jersey too.”

The player met with some fans at Vinovo, but had a message for the wider fanbase as well.

“I want to thank them for the welcome. I want to give my everything and score lots of goals.”
