And just like that, we’ve reached the final day of the Euro 2020 group stage.
The schedule today is a doozy, too. Check it out:
- Sweden vs. Poland
- Slovakia vs. Spain
- Portugal vs. France
- Germany vs. Hungary
Woof. That looks like some fun could be had. And especially so when you have absolutely no rooting interest in it outside of there being a Juventus player in the first three of those games listed above. (And it’s not like any of those Juve players are 100 percent guaranteed of moving into the knockout round entering the day.)
You have star players, be it Cristiano Ronaldo or Robert Lewandowski, fighting for their country’s lives at the Euros. And outside of Tuesday’s action where the possible chaos that never truly materialized, there’s definitely the possibility for both sets of games providing some final-day-of-the-group-stage madness knowing how tight these groups are right now.
There could be fun.
There could be lots of fun.
Hopefully that fun actually does arrive, too.
