In a tournament where Juventus has almost as many players competing in it as any club in the world, today is a weird kind of day. There isn’t a Juve player actually playing today at Euro 2020. Sure, there’s only two games going on, but the closest thing we have to a Juve player is somebody they didn’t end up signing four years ago.
But at least England is playing today!
... right?
... RIGHT?!?!
Today’s schedule:
- Croatia vs. Scotland
- Czech Republic vs. England
I dunno about you guys, but I could definitely use a grumpy Croatian striker or a Czech winger with beautiful flowing blonde hair added to the mix today. Alas, that ain’t gonna happen for multiple reasons. (Namely, age.)
There are two teams on four points.
There are two teams with one point.
If it so happens that one of those teams with one point get ahead and go up to four points on the live table, then all hell could break loose. With the first few days providing not a whole lot in terms of drama sans Denmark, then you gotta think that hopefully there is some group stage finale chaos on the way. (And this is before the Group of Death finale arrives later in the week.)
So maybe there will be some chaos today.
Maybe Croatia or Scotland get a win and put the heat on the English.
That sounds fun, wouldn’t it?
Yeah, I think so, too. Let’s root for Team Chaos because there aren’t any Juventus players playing today. Let’s go, chaos! Let’s go, chaos!
