Now that we know Juventus has a manager for next season and the flurry of activity that comes with hiring a manager that has already had an incredibly successful run in Turin, we can actually let the dust settle and do what we planned to do on the first podcast of the offseason.
You know, actually do some sort of review of the 2020-21 season rather than be flooded with managerial rumors and then talk about what’s going to happen next.
We took a page out of podcast prior during the lockdown in Italy last spring and did a little bit of a draft to avoid a whole lot of repeating once another when dishing out our end-of-the-season awards. That meant not everybody was able to take Juan Cuadrado or somebody else as their season MVP as much as maybe we wanted to. (Same goes for a few other categories as well, for the record.)
On this week’s episode of The Old Lady Speaks, we discuss:
- Who Juventus’ most valuable player was this past season.
- Who Juventus’ least valuable player was this past season.
- Who Juventus’ most disappointing player was this past season.
- Who Juventus’ most improved player was this past season.
- Twitter questions — with a heavy dose of Manuel Locatelli discussion.
