Well, those last couple of games sucked.
We were sitting here somewhat optimistic about Juventus less than a week ago, and then ... poof! Goodbye, happiness. Hello, darkness, my old friend.
Juventus lost to Sassuolo in a game it should have lost. Juventus followed it up with another loss, this time to Hellas Verona, in a game it looked like the Bianconeri were never going to win. It was a bad week, a really bad week, and one that has seen the distance between Juventus and the top clubs in Serie A get even bigger than it was just a handful of days ago.
So, now, as we hit November and with Juventus firmly not looking like title contenders at all anymore, where this season goes from here is anybody’s guess. And that’s not a good thing.
On this week’s episode of The Old Lady Speaks Podcast, we discuss:
- The week that was for Juventus, one that saw the squad earn zero out of a possible six points and look not-so-great doing it.
- Is it time for Max Allegri to ditch the 4-4-2?
- Juventus has way too many “OK” players on the roster.
- Twitter questions, including topics regarding the realistic expectations for the rest of the season, is there any kind of hope for the winter transfer window, is another banter era on the horizon for Juventus and if it’s time to let Kaio Jorge loose in the starting lineup.
