The best thing about the offseason and there being very little actual transfer activity? We get to do whatever the hell we want with the podcast we started when there was literally nothing going on earlier this year.
So what did we do?
We had a chat. Naturally, since it’s a podcast. Duh.
But we had a chat about a book. You know, a book written by one of our own.
It’s this week where I, Danny, and our favorite Dutchman, Chuks, talked on a special on edition of The Old Lady Speaks Podcast about the book, “You Say Soccer, I Say Football,” that he is putting the finishing touches on and is set to release come the first day of December. It wasn’t just the topic of the book that we talked about, but rather the writing process of putting together something that clearly wasn’t just whipped up in a couple of weeks or anything like that. Plus, since Chuks is a Juventus fan and has been one for much longer than this blog has been around, just how much his favorite team and being a part of the group that supports it has factored into what kind of direction the book ended up taking.
It was a fun chat without a doubt. And, since it was just the two of us, there was no need to bash our heads against the wall because Juventus had just done something stupid or given us reason to ramble on and on and on out of frustration.
This was a fun talk, and we were happy to expand on what Chuks wrote about his book earlier this year.
You can find all the information you need to know about Chuks’ book and preorders at his website, edwardp.me/yousaysoccer.
