We are now in full-on offseason mode, everybody.
No more managerial hires to worry about when we’re recording. There weren’t any transfers going down or anything close to it this weekend. It was, outside of Andrea Pirlo’s coaching staff becoming an official post on this here website and the volume of transfer rumors increasing, a rather quiet week in the land of Juventus. Seeing as we’ve been going pretty much in a full-on pedal-to-the-metal kind of mode around here since the beginning of June, a little bit of a slower pace has been ... nice.
And it also means we can do things a little different on the podcast.
This week, we brought in a guest.
Everybody, say hello to Tal, one of the founders and current president of the Juventus Official Fan Club Empire State in New York City and a good friend of our loyal match recapper Sam Lopresti. This week, Tal joined the crew to discuss how the club came to be, what it’s been like during these current COVID-19 days when the usual routine of watching Juventus matches at Football Factory at Legends in New York hasn’t been possible. (Although I hear there’s now some outdoor seating!)
We also discussed a few of the transfer rumors floating around out there and maybe mentioned Sami Khedira and Gonzalo Higuain once or twice.
Thank you to Tal for joining us. You can check out more about Juventus Empire State Club at their website. You can also follow them on all of the socials: Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
