In announcing that we here at BWRAO were going to start up a podcast, we left it as a bit of an open-ended deal. We knew we were going to do something, we just didn’t exactly give you, oh faithful reader, an exact time as to when the first episode of said podcast would drop and be available for a listen.
Well, we know an exact date now.
Because that day is today.
Behold, here — and hear! — the debut episode of the podcast that you, BWRAO community, helped name. We are officially rolling out “The Old Lady Sings: A Juventus Podcast” for everybody to listen and hopefully provide a smile, a laugh or something in between during these current coronavirus times when Juventus content is obviously not exactly easy to come by.
Myself (Danny) and the Three Amigos of Sam, Chuks and Sergio had a grand old time putting this thing together. (That’s not blowing smoke, I promise you that.) Seeing as it’s now a COVID-19 world we live in, you can call us The Four Quarantinos — SEE WHAT I DID THERE?! — for the time being or until Juve plays an actual game again.
On this premier episode of the BWRAO pod, we discussed:
- What we’ve been up to the last two months with no Juventus games being played.
- How to properly pronounce Chuks’ legal name.
- What some of our most memorable Juventus moments of the season to date has been.
- Some Twitter questions, which resulted in some very good discussions about Federico Bernardeschi, some of the transfer speculation and the Large Adult Sons of BWRAO.
Personal opinion: I think this was the best podcast that this group of four Juve fans have ever done here at BWRAO. I hope you think so, too.
(PLEASE NOTE: If you aren’t seeing the podcast player embedded into the post, don’t you worry because sometimes search engine paths tend to bounce some features from the page. Allow some time before “The Old Lady Speaks” is available on most of your major podcast players (iTunes, Spotify, Google Podcasts). In due time, you will be able to search for us. Once it is available, though, make sure to subscribe so that you can get it on your phone, tablet or computer — or all of the above! — the minute each of our future episodes is available.
