The podcast is back. And so is Juventus — kinda.
The return of The Old Lady Sings is also marked by the return of Juventus players to Continassa, the club’s fancy new training facility. As of right now, players are only permitted to do individual training, with an announcement by the Italian government on Monday saying that only minor medical protocol changes remain before group activity can start next week.
That is where our discussion starts ... and dominates the proceedings between myself (Danny), Sam, Sergio and Chuks during this episode. (Which is fine seeing as this is a very important and relevant topic to what we do around here.)
On the second episode of The Old Lady Speaks, we discussed the following:
- The aforementioned risk/reward of Serie A clubs returning to training and games potentially coming back into our lives come the first few days of June.
- Thoughts on the kit leaks that have been going around the internet the last couple of weeks, with Juventus’ return to the stripes on its home kit for the 2020-21 season and just what they look like as compared to some of the other editions we’ve seen in the Adidas era.
- That rumored third jersey ... lol.
- More Twitter questions, including where might Sami Khedira be (as an old blog joke is brought back into the mix), the players who have truly adapted and subsequently thrived under Maurizio Sarri this season and a few of the Juventus players we appreciate most.
(Also, if you want to read the article that Chuks references about Sky Italia, DAZN and IMG freezing their final broadcasting rights payment for the 2019-20 season, you can find it here.)
