With Fiorentina being a late replacement in the United States section of the International Champions Cup, it was probably thought that La Viola’s new American owner would be a chance to talk directly with his team’s star player, Federico Chiesa. The same Chiesa who has been linked with a move away from Florence all summer long, with Juventus being the destination the young Italian oh-so desires.
If being in the U.S. for a couple of weeks has brought Chiesa closer to his club’s new American owner, it apparently has brought the talented winger any closer to liking what he has to hear from the guy who is now signing his paycheck.
According to both La Gazzetta dello Sport and Corriere dello Sport, Chiesa isn’t close to being convinced of the vision that Rocco Commisso has to offer, thus creating another road block in Fiorentina’s attempt to sign the 21-year-old winger to a brand new contract. Because of the dissatisfaction with the vision Commisso has for Fiorentina, Chiesa is again setting his sights on his rumored move to Juventus, with the Corriere dello Sport saying that he has again asked to be allowed to move to Turin this summer.
#Commisso prova a fare muro. #calciomercato

The Corriere dello Sport also goes as far as to say that Chiesa has told Commisso’s right-hand man, Joe Barrone, that he wants to be sold.
It has been nearly eight weeks since Fiorentina declared that Chiesa isn’t going to be leaving Florence this summer. That obviously hasn’t done anything to slow down the talk of Chiesa either leaving Fiorentina or signing with Juventus before the summer transfer window ends a few weeks from now.
It has also been nearly just as long since we heard the report that Chiesa agreed to personal terms on a five-year deal with Juventus, a report that came out all of two days after Fiorentina said that he wouldn’t be sold this summer.
Since then, it’s basically been the same song and dance when it comes to Chiesa-to-Juventus rumors: Chiesa reportedly wants to leave, Fiorentina doesn’t want to sell and Juventus’ front office are basically waiting to see how the situation unfolds. Juve would obviously have to get creative — and likely sell a player or two — if they were to acquire Chiesa before the transfer window closes following Matthijs de Ligt’s €75 million becoming official deal last week.
