Just as was the case a few days back, this could be the final Bentancur Day of Summer 2018. And just in the same kind of fashion, this could be the Bentancur Day that leads to another Bentancur Day. Oh, and if that’s the case, that means one of the two World Cup semifinals would also be a Bentancur Day.
That sounds cool, doesn’t it?
After a few days without the World Cup, the football is back. And the football is getting rather serious now, with only eight teams remaining. You’ve heard the pundits and read the tweets saying that a picture of Croatia, Sweden, England and Russia means ONE OF THESE FOUR TEAMS WILL MAKE THE WORLD CUP FINAL. But there’s also the fact that the other side of the bracket has a couple of really, really good quarterfinal matches.
The Fighting Matuidis vs. The Fighting Bentancurs.
Brazil vs. Belgium.
We don’t know if Douglas Costa will be back and available for selection in the second game of today’s doubleheader. He’s been back in training the last couple of days, but what kind of match fitness he has still remains to be seen.
So maybe there will only be one game with Juventus representation, and it will be Juve-on-Juve crime at that. Don’t mind me, of course, because I’m just going to continue staning for Bentancur because that’s been my most favorite thing to do the last couple of weeks.
Sorry, Blaise Matuidi, but it seems like history is more on Uruguay’s side.
#URU is unbeaten in three #WorldCup meetings with #FRA at 1-0-2. Their only win came in 1966

AND THOSE TEAMS DIDN’T HAVE RODRIGO BENTANCUR, EITHER. SO THERE YOU HAVE IT.
