Report: Emre Can has decided to join Juventus — again

If you haven’t heard this before, you’re probably living under a rock.

The Emre Can saga has been dragged out longer than anybody would like. First he reportedly looks set to join Juventus. Then there might be some kind of decision-questioning period where he needs to re-evaluate all options. After a week or two, it all comes back to Can coming back to signing with Juventus.

With all that being said, we got something we’ve heard before from La Gazzetta dello Sport on Monday.

According to everybody’s “favorite” pink daily sports newspaper in Italy, Can has agreed to join Juventus and the essential framework of his contract with the reigning Italian champions agreed upon. Per usual, there’s still some work to be done because that’s what these kind of reports require. The same five-year contract we’ve heard about for months now is still in the mix as well, meaning nothing on that front has changed.

Basically, this is the next stop on the cycle. Maybe rumors about Paris Saint-Germain or Bayern Munich coming in to potentially disrupt Juventus’ desire to add a very good and younger piece to a midfield that is in dire need of both youth and quality added to it during the upcoming summer transfer rumor window.

I mean, he will actually have to make a choice soon seeing as the season is almost over and his current contract with Liverpool is set to expire shortly thereafter. Maybe he has made a decision and he just doesn’t want to tell us. Or maybe he’s going back and forth on it every single time his agent calls.
