Champions League Draw: How to watch who Juventus plays in Round of 16

So much of Juventus 2018-19 season has been about the Champions League that getting to the Round of 16 only feels like a small step in what is viewed as the larger objective. Of course, to get to the place Juve want to finish at, one must first go through the proceeding stages. Juventus didn’t wrap up the group stage in any kind of grand fashion, but they were still able to finish atop Group H. That gave them the chance to be placed in Pot 1 come the Round of 16 draw.

Today, in said draw, we find out who Juve’s next European opponent will be.

Here are all eight of the teams who were group runners-up and will be coming out of Pot 2:

Ajax

Atlético Madrid

Liverpool

Lyon

Manchester United

Roma

Schalke

Tottenham Hotspur

Of those eight teams, Juventus can play an six of them, excluding Manchester United (just in their group) and Roma (who’s obviously in Serie A). So, let’s just quickly review what clubs Juventus can actually be drawn against:

Atlético Madrid

Ajax

Liverpool

Lyon

Tottenham Hotspur

Schalke

There is recent history with a good number of these teams in the Champions League. Of course, the Round of 16 matchup last year was against Tottenham. Juventus has been in a group with Lyon. They’ve been in a group with Atletico Madrid. There’s connections there and we don’t have to go back too long to figure them out.

The simple question is: Who ya got?
