Juventus’ quest to return to full health took a turn in the positive direction today as Benedikt Howedes has finally returned to near full health. The boss said today that he would not start, but he would be available.

The full squad list, courtesy of Juventus twitter:

The German’s presence as the 2nd/3rd option behind Chiellini and possibly Rugani will likely be welcome by many Juventus fans, given that 20 Juventus players have a higher J-Score than Mehdi Benatia and Andrea Barzagli across all competitions this season.

Aside from that, Sami Khedira and Claudio Marchisio are still recovering from their injuries and will not be available. Long-term injuries are limited to only Marko Pjaca at this point.

Max said that Buffon would start, and Sturaro and Di Sciglio are the candidates to play at RB, so that rules out the possibility of Howedes stepping in there - for now. That being said, Max has been known to play games with the media to attempt to throw off the opposition preparation, so who knows. As long as they’re on that squad list, anything can happen.
