Next weekend, Juventus will be playing for a trophy. The weekend after they will be opening the 2017-18 Serie A season, which is also known as Juve’s latest title defense. That means we’re getting awfully close to seeing Juventus play games that mean something once again.
But first, there’s one more game that those in the know like to call a “friendly.”
In just a short amount of time, Juventus will be taking to the field at London’s Wembley Stadium for the very first time. There, Juventus will go through their warm-up routine and then face Tottenham Hotspur, one of the English Premier League’s top clubs going right now.
If this matchup sounds familiar, it’s because it is, folks.
Just last summer Juventus and Tottenham faced one another in Juve’s first friendly of the summer. That was down under in Australia and Spurs sported some kind of gold-ish alternate uniform that wasn’t all that flattering.
This game comes at a different time of preseason preparations, as the Italian Super Cup and the start of the EPL season lay in the distance for each club.
Two of the best go at it tonight at @wembleystadium. Are you ready?#SpursJuve pic.twitter.com/IqJ0t4IGRn
