Juventus head into the famous Wembley Stadium to take on Tottenham on Saturday and Allegri has named 27 players to join him.
These players, courtesy of Juventus’ official website include:
Portieri: Buffon, Del Favero, Pinsoglio
Difensori: Alex Sandro, Barzagli, Benatia, Chiellini, De Sciglio, Lichtsteiner, Rugani
Centrocampisti: Asamoah, Bentancur, Cuadrado, Khedira, Lemina, Marchisio, Pjanic, Rincon
Attaccanti: Bernardeschi, D. Costa, Dybala, Higuain, Kean, Mandzukic
That’s a lot of players. If my math is correct, Juventus have more than enough players to field an entirely different squad for each half.
Szczesny is not included in the list, seeing as his International Champions Cup minutes were limited with an apparent injury. The silver linings to that injury though was that we got to see that we have a very quality 3rd GK in Pinsoglio - on that note, happy 35th birthday to 4-time Serie A winner, Rubinho.
Stefano Sturaro won’t be travelling as he is suffering from muscle fatigue in his left thigh
From the pool of players selected, it’s hard to predict what direction Max will go with his starting lineup. I would assume Max would want to field a decently strong lineup seeing as we are taking on the Premier League runner-ups, although at the end of the day it still is just a friendly, and staying healthy should be the top priority.
The game will take place tomorrow (Saturday the 5th) at 12:30 EST.
