Today, Pavel Nedved among other Juventus representatives will be disappointed as they reportedly have met with Sampdoria and failed to come to an agreement over the transfer for Patrik Schick. A reminder, Schick has already completed his medical:

Gianluca Di Marzio reported earlier today that the two sides would meet in an effort to come to an agreement for the transfer of the Czech striker. This was really odd considering that Schick had already completed his medical with the club last month. It has been reported now that these two could not come to an agreement and that Juventus will not be signing the player. And the club has now confirmed it as well.

Considering the player had a release clause of €25 million in his contract, it’s hard not to fault management for not closing this deal, especially after the player had completed a medical. If the clause had an expiration date, I would find it hard to believe that the purchasing club had no idea about it.
We may never know the entire set of details as to what happened so for now, we chalk it up as a miss. If there was an issue with the medical then obviously we send our best wishes to Patrik and hope his career continues to progress. Personally, I wouldn’t be comfortable spending that much on a relatively unproven striker, so it may not be the end of the world, but 24 hours ago it seemed like we’d have Schick on Juventus, and now we don’t.
Let’s have a moment of silence for Danny, who wrote the Officially Official thread in its entirety, which will never see the light.
