It has happened. Provided that there are no issues with his medical, Leonardo Bonucci will sign a 5-year contract with domestic rivals, AC Milan.

Here is the picture they chose to present Leonardo Bonucci with. It’s funny because he’s standing next to a giant Champions League trophy, and they won’t even be competing for that trophy next year.

From AC Milan’s official website:

AC Milan have reached an agreement with Juventus FC for the permanent transfer of Leonardo Bonucci, subject to medical completion.

Should the player pass the medical examination in the next few days, he will join the Club penning a five-year contract.

That’s it folks. The band-aid is ripped off. Leonardo Bonucci is no longer a Juventino. The defender that cemented himself in the conversation of best in the world will be wearing a black and red jersey next year. BBC at the domestic level is no longer. We’ll have to wait for International Break for the next possibility to see the big three back in action together.

So long Leo, you’ll be missed. My favourite Leo memory was his late game winner vs. Roma, what’s yours?
