Champions League goals don’t get much better than the one Mario Mandžukić just scored for Juventus. Taking a pass from Gonzalo Higuain off his chest, Mandžukić chose to attempt an overhead from about 16 yards out. His 27th minute strike couldn’t have been placed any better, sneaking inside the upper 90.

The goal was his second in a Champions League final. The much-traveled Croat had previously scored for Bayern Munich in the 2013 final against Borussia Dortmund.
More importantly, it allowed Juventus to equalize after Cristiano Ronaldo had given Real Madrid the lead just a few minutes earlier.
