Report: Juventus receive two bids for Neto

At least two teams are interested, that’s not a bad thing.

It’s no secret that Juventus’ current backup keeper is likely being shopped this summer with the reported imminent arrival of Wojciech Szczęsny. It is now being reported by Gianluca Di Marzio’s camp that Juventus has received bids from both Premier League side, Watford, and Spanish side, Valencia.

Juventus acquired Neto from Fiorentina in the summer of 2015 on a free transfer as his contract expired. Any transfer fee should likely cover the wages given to him for his two years here, making his time at Juventus essentially free. Not a bad move, Beppe, not a bad move.

The reported figures are that Valencia is offering €5 million plus €2 million in bonuses, while Watford is offering €8 million plus €2 million in bonuses. It’s also reported that Neto prefers Valencia while Juventus are pushing to accept the higher offer, but I’m highly skeptical when it comes to reports on player’s preferences without a press conference, although in this situation it is coming from a pretty good source.
