Juventus’ first official signing of the summer is close to becoming official.
That’s no offense to Rodrigo Bentancur and his move to Juventus back in April, but this one will actually take place during the summer, not the spring.
Young and talented Sampdoria striker Patrik Schick is one more step closer to making his rumored move to Juventus an actuality. One day after Schick took part in the Czech Republic’s 3-1 win over Italy (and future teammate Daniele Rugani) at the European Under-21 Championships, he arrived in Turin to undergo his medical examinations ahead of signing with the six-time defending Italian champions.
We even have visual proof of it!

Oh, and in case you’re wondering, not only do you get to see a picture of Schick getting ready to take his medical but also a glimpse at Juventus’ new training jersey.
The move for Schick isn’t exactly earth-shattering news based on both the reports coming out of Italy over the last week as well as what both the Juve and Sampdoria management teams have been saying of late.
Schick, who won’t turn 22 years old until January, was quite impressive in his debut Serie A season. He finished the season tied for second on the Sampdoria squad with 11 goals scored, one behind team leader and former Juve striker Fabio Quagliarella. Schick did so in just 14 starts — and 32 appearances overall — compared to Quagliarella and Luis Muriel starting 32 and 25 games, respectively.
Uno dei ⚽ più belli di Patrik #Schick in quest'ultima stagione contro il Torino.

Gee, a young (soon-to-be) Juventus striker with a strong left foot. Wonder where I’ve seen that before...
