The news that Dani Alves is almost certainly heading out of Turin this summer has meant there is a logical follow-up question. I know it, you know it, we all know it.
Who will Juventus try and sign to fill Alves’ spot on the roster?
There is the obvious linkage to Mattia De Sciglio because they are always going to be present until the former teenage standout who has battled injuries over the last few seasons goes somewhere other than Milan. (And even if that destination isn’t Juventus there will still be De Sciglio-to-Juventus rumors because of course.) But, maybe not a surprise to some, there has been another Italian fullback who has been a rumored Juve transfer target been brought back into the fold...
Juventus are looking for a right back and have made Manchester United's Matteo Darmian. The Italian right back is no longer unsellable for Manchester United and Juventus made their first contact in the recent hours. The reported transfer fee is approximately 20 million euros. The Bianconeri, who are also interested in De Sciglio and Valencia's Cancelo, could make a serious offer for Darmian.

So, Darmian is in the mix again.
Does that kind of price tag make sense for Juventus? Who knows. They are obviously going to need to sign somebody who can possibly be the answer on the right flank with Alves leaving. It’s highly unlikely that most of the names being thrown out there can replicate the kind of impact
But let us not forget, Darmian was quite a popular name for Juventus to pursue when Torino had him on the market a couple of years ago. Or at least some of us felt that way.
As long as we’re talking about rumors, why not spread some fire based on one single picture of current Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci and current Manchester United defender Matteo Darmian talking to one another before Italy’s game against Uruguay earlier this month.

Man oh man. If only we had a couple of thought bubbles here. Do your thing, Leo.
