Wow, 561 responses. Well above any other game I can remember. I won’t let you all down by not posting the results this time, so here we go.
The formation was dominated by the 4-2-3-1 which got 69 percent. (Nice.) The next best was the 3-5-2 at 15 percent.
Neto and Emil Audero got five votes each. I have no idea why. Gianluigi Buffon got the rest, obviously.
At the back, Leonardo Bonucci, Giorgio Chiellini, Alex Sandro and Dani Alves all had their spots locked up with at least 88 percent each. Andrea Barzagli was the next option with 18 percent of the votes, likely coming from voters looking to fill out their 3-5-2.
In the midfield, Miralem Pjanic and Sami Khedira beat out Claudio Marchisio for the two pivot roles. If you had told me at the beginning of the season that a healthy Marchisio would be preferred as a bench option for a match like this, I’d have called you crazy. This 4-2-3-1 formation really is exciting, to say the least. Rolando Mandragora got eight votes.
Marchisio over Pjanic for defensive reasons
I went with Lemina instead of Mandzu for more stability. Would bring Mandzu on early second half and switch to 4231
In front of them, Juan Cuadrado, Paulo Dybala, and Mario Mandzukic all pretty much ran unopposed, as Marko Pjaca is unavailable.
dybala as a super-sub because of his injury
dani alves to be in attacking trident
Dybala and Cuadrado will make amazing subs!
Allegri would like to play Barcelona with the clock on his side. Bringing cuadrado while Barcelona is fighting the clock and BBBC might be a sweet deal to bang one or two goals late in the game.
And at the top, Gonzalo Higuain had 96 percent of votes. Moise Kean got 13 votes.
moise kean can be included.... he could be an unknown thread to Barca rather than Higuain...so that they hv to think more about their clean sheets
General thoughts:
Same team as first leg
Don't touch a winning team
I don't have an interesting inclusion. This is our best line-up and we have to approach this match like it is the final. A defensive mind-set gets up eliminated. Barca can't play defense (in evidence yet again in La Liga a few days ago) and we should be able to score.
More defensive approach, with counterattack.
Same strategic as at Juve Stadium. ...then 3-5-2 after taking a 2-0 lead at halftime.
Juventus should not defend. They should to be at full quality again to score.
We gotta attack and try to score first and then sit deep in the second half. Basically the exact opposite of what PSG did.
The score predictions tell me that some Barca fans invaded the survey. That’s okay, I hope you had fun.
BWRAO & Anthony’s Starting XI (4-2-3-1): Buffon; Alex Sandro, Giorgio Chiellini, Leonardo Bonucci, Dani Alves; Miralem Pjanic, Sami Khedira; Mario Mandzukic, Paulo Dybala, Juan Cuadrado, Gonzalo Higuain.
