Juventus return to league action on Sunday to take on Sampdoria at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris. After defeating Porto in the Champions League Round of 16 3-0 on aggregate, Juventus will be looking to continue their winning form. There is currently an 8 point cushion ahead of Roma in the standings, and an additional 2 points separating Napoli.
Sampdoria currently resides in the top half of the table in ninth place, four points behind Fiorentina. They don’t score, nor concede an exceptional number of goals. They are undefeated in their last eight games (two draws), highlighted by wins over both Milan and Roma. A solid run of form to enter the game. They are led in scoring by Luis Muriel, who has scored an impressive 10 goals and nine assists across all competitions. Beside him should be our old friend, Fabio Quagliarella.
Both Sampdoria and Juventus should be dealing with a clean bill of health, and without any suspensions to deal with either.
Juventus’ next games come on April 2 and 5 against Napoli with a league game, and Coppa Italia game in that order.
All things considered, who would you like to see start on Sunday? Remember this is who you would like to see start, not who you think Max will pick?
This round’s survey question is who you think the weakest and strongest potential Champions League opponent would be in the quarterfinals.
