OFFICIALLY OFFICIAL: BWRAO is a huge fan of the 4-2-3-1 formation that Max Allegri has used lately. An overwhelming 78 percent of voters selected the 4-2-3-1 as their formation, the most love any formation has received so far this season.

In defense, the trusted veterans were selected for this important game, as Giorgio Chiellini and Leonardo Bonucci man the center of the defense. The only two natural fullbacks available were understandably picked as well, with Alex Sandro and Stephan Lichtsteiner getting the selection.

The two midfield pivot roles go to Sami Khedira and Miralem Pjanic, with Claudio Marchisio being edged out from being selected on his return.

In front of them, Mario Mandzukic will take the left wing role that he has made his own in the recent showings. The central role goes to Paulo Dybala, and the right side goes to Juan Cuadrado, who has been playing at an elevated level as of late (yes, I’m going to acknowledge it). At the front of all the offense is that guy that knows how to put the ball in the net, Gonzalo Higuain.

My lineup is the same as the consensus this time around, sorry to be boring, but it’s true. You can never go wrong with Leo at the back, and it wouldn’t be right to have a big game without Giorgio in there to shut down the opposing striker. I really, really hope he can neutralize Mauro Icardi, because I am really growing tired of seeing him scoring against us. I was pleasantly surprised that Marko Pjaca only got 24 percent of votes. I’m all for giving him more minutes, but this game is not the time. Inter is red hot right now, and getting every point is imperative to being able to rest for Champions League games when they start popping up. I’ll take the proven Mario Mandzukic in this game, every time.

BWRAO & Anthony’s Starting XI (4-2-3-1): Gianluigi Buffon; Alex Sandro, Giorgio Chiellini, Leonardo Bonucci, Stephan Lichtsteiner; Miralem Pjanic, Sami Khedira; Mario Mandzukic, Paulo Dybala, Juan Cuadrado; Gonzalo Higuain.

Also, if you have any survey questions that you want to see added to the poll next time around, let me know in the comments.
