Juventus will be taking on Empoli in a lunchtime kickoff in Italy on Sunday afternoon in their last match before the upcoming international break.
Juve are coming off of a 4-0 beatdown of Dinamo Zagreb over Palermo on Tuesday, and are looking to extend their winning streak to four games, and ensure they retain the top spot in the standings. Also, go set your Fantasy Serie A lineups.
In the Zagreb game, Juventus manager Max Allegri opted to give some rest to Alex Sandro and Mario Lemina, while Stephan Lichtsteiner didn’t make the trip to Croatia as he isn’t in the Champions League squad. Stefano Sturaro, recently back from injury, made his return to the bench while Juan Cuadrado and Miralem Pjanic played only 45 minutes each. Reports out of Italy on Wednesday seem to suggest that Pjanic was taken off strictly as a precaution, so he should be good to go come Sunday.
As mentioned earlier, this will be Juve’s last game before the international break, with the game after being against Udinese on Saturday, Oct. 15.
All things considered, who would you like to see start on Sunday? Vote below! The results will be posted, as well as a few different takes on the lineup, including my own (I promise there will be a follow-up article this time).
Remember, this is not what you expect the lineup to be, this is what you would do or what you would like to see.
