In a 14-month Juventus career that has been filled with exit rumors galore for Simone Zaza, we might actually be reaching and end point where the 25-year-old striker actually does leave Turin.

That’s because of two reasons.

For one, Zaza is not included in Juventus’ 24-man squad named by manager Max Allegri that headed out to Modena for Saturday’s friendly against Espanyol. In turn, a report from Gianluca Di Marzio has given the explanation as to why Zaza wasn’t posting pictures on Instagram as the team headed out for their friendly like the likes of Paulo Dybala and Dani Alves.

You can put two and two together.

Lord knows the Italian media already has.

The Wolfsburg has been one that has been reported as a possibility for weeks now. There’s been other reported interest as well, but Wolfsburg has been a constant compared to other teams like Milan, West Ham and a few other clubs around Italy and Europe. But there also hasn’t been any kind of developments to the extent of Juventus agreeing to terms with another club for Zaza, a deal that was reported earlier in the week.

We don’t know if Zaza’s reported deal will result in something else. There will probably be a fresh batch of Gabigol rumors in the next day or two considering Juve potentially have a spot now suddenly open for a a striker or winger. If the Zaza deal with Wolfsburg does happen, there’s going to be money to spend. How much of that goes toward a striker or even for a midfielder remains to be seen. But with somebody potential leaving, it clearly opens the door for a player to arrive in Turin before the transfer window closes until the new year.
