While the vast majority of the attention on a potential addition to Juventus’ strikeforce has been driven to Gonzalo Higuain — and rightfully so considering the circumstances — there may be something else we want to direct our minds toward.

That would be a potential addition of a youngster in Brazil named Gabriel Barbosa, or just Gabigol for short. And, if word out of Brazil is to be believed, Santos’ latest attacking starlet could be making his way to Turin this summer.

According to Brazilian news outlet Globo, Santos has accepted Juventus’ €20 million bid for Gabigol, the club’s 19-year-old winger who has been much-rumored to be on the move to Europe this summer. It was reported earlier in the day Monday that Juventus had tabled a €20 million bid for Gabigol and were awaiting word from Santos whether or not they would accept it. Now, with a bid reportedly agreed upon between Santos and Juventus, it’s up to Gabigol himself to either decline or accept a move to Italy this summer.

There’s also this bit to figure out...

And if he does accept the move, holy smokes, what an attacking group Beppe Marotta and Fabio Paratici are putting together.

This could potential be your five attacking players that Juve opens the season with: Paulo Dybala, Mario Mandzukic, Marko Pjaca, Gonzalo Higuain and Gabigol. That’s arguably the best group of forwards we’ve seen at Juventus in a good amount of time. And, outside of Mandzukic and Higuain, all of them are either 22 years old or younger.

So now #HiguainWatch has also turned into #GabigolWatch. Oh what fun we’re going to have with all of this transfer stuff going on right now.
