Euro 2016: June 10 live open thread

Juventus' Patrice Evra and Paul Pogba and host France play Romania in the the European Championship opener in Group A play Friday at Stade de France in Saint-Denis.

Albania and Switzerland round out Group A and will open their tournaments Saturday.

France enters the tournament as one of the favorites to win the group and the tournament. The French won their last competition on home soil in 1998 when they won the World Cup in Paris. According to Elias Sports Bureau, the French only trailed for one minute during that tournament.

The French will aim for its third European Championship, following tittles in 1984 and 2000.

Romania has won just three matches against France since 1932. There last triumph over Les Blues was an international friendly in 1972 with a 2-0 victory in Bucharest.
