Juventus has been settled in Rome for a little less than two days now. We've heard from a multitude of different players in the build up to the Coppa Italia final against AC Milan. It doesn't matter if it's Max Allegri, Giorgio Chiellini, Paul Pogba or the baby-faced assassin Paulo Dybala, the message is clear when it comes from the Juventus camp.
It involves going to the Stadio Olimpico, It involves scoring goals, maybe even lots of goals. And it involves doing the same thing Juve did in the last season's Coppa Italia final. That would be the head back to Turin with a trophy and have the domestic double bragging rights for another 12 months just like we saw happen this season.
Sounds good, doesn't it?
I would say so. Allegri purposely put off any kind of street party to celebrate the latest Scudetto until after the Coppa Italia final was completed. He wanted it to be nothing but business, and that's how he's approached the entire stretch of the last couple of weeks. And you know what? Good for him.
The goal they have set their sights on, the goal of a domestic double, is close to being achieved. So, now, as they prepare to go out and grab it, there's only a seemingly permanently struggling Milan side standing in the way of Juventus and a back-to-back season that ends with a Scudetto and Coppa Italia celebration.
Yeah, sounds pretty good.
