We sit here, on the ninth day of April, with a game in just a short amount of time, and need to remember two very important things.
- Juventus has a six-point lead over Napoli over the weekend.
- Juventus, after today's match at the San Siro, have six games left to play this season.
Those are rather important — and not just because i thought of them myself. Juventus face Milan tonight with the chance to get just that much closer to a fifth straight Serie A title, that much closer to making even more history.
This won't be the last time Juventus will face Milan this season. There's the Coppa Italia final next month to deal with as well. But, for right now, it's all about one last Saturday night at the San Siro before the regularly scheduled games on the league fixture list come to an end.
That means that not only are Milan left to try and turn what has been an absolute nothing of a season into the slightest something, but also Juventus get closer and closer to making more history.
Now, some of you out there may not want to see that happen; you may be tired of watching Juventus players give the trophy a kiss and then hoist it above their heads. For that, not only do we want to show you a certain gif of Álvaro Morata after scoring a goal against Inter last season, but also feel the desire to walk away.
And walk away winners, of course — which Juve could certainly be if they were to beat Milan tonight at the San Siro.
One step closer, one game closer. These kinds of things go hand in hand, people.
