Champions League Round of 16 Draw: How to watch and live stream

We interrupt your regularly scheduled celebration of the first Derby della Mole victory of the season to bring you this little bit of news: It’s Champions League Round of 16 draw day! That means we get to see whether Juventus finishing atop Group H really did prove to be a benefit or a situation that has drawn them against one of Europe’s biggest of big boys.

This Champions League draw is different than in years past where finishing first in your group doesn’t mean that you’re getting a much more favorable draw. As Max Allegri joked before Juve’s win over Dinamo Zagreb, all throughout the group stage it was about finishing in first place and now suddenly on the final day the talk was about how having a second-place spot in the group was better. That may be true in hindsight, but I guess for all of the troubles Juventus has had in Europe a first-place finish is a pleasant change from the head banging they’ve made us do over the years.

Here is your reminder of who Juventus can play in the Round of 16:

Porto

Bayer Leverkusen

Benfica

Paris Saint-Germain

Manchester City

Real Madrid

Bayern Munich

So, who you got? That is certainly quite a list of potential opponents. Much like last year when Juventus got Bayern Munich right out of the gate in the knockout round, it could be a matchup you’d expect to see down the road compared to both clubs’ first two European games of the 2017 calendar year.

Bounce in our favor, ping-pong balls. Or, at least as much in our favor as there is possibly out there. That sure would be nice.
