The transfer rumour mill tends to kick into overdrive especially during the international break. This last World Cup qualifiers distraction is no different, with a couple of less-than-reliable media sources reporting that only a year and a half after forcing a move from Juventus, Chilean midfielder Arturo Vidal would like to return to Turin.

According to Goal.com, Vidal had established himself as a cornerstone in the Bayern Munich midfield under Pep Guardiola, but has not been as convincing for new manager Carlo Ancelotti, who has benched him a few times.

Per Football Italia, the Chilean has apparently been in touch with Patrice Evra for a few months now about his unhappiness in Munich, and feels it would be possible to return in the summer.

The article goes on to say that Ancelotti has stated this week that Vidal speaks fondly of the Bianconeri often even now. The midfielder spent four seasons at Juve before forcing a move to Bayern, stating that he would have a better chance of winning the Champions League trophy with the German club, a dream that has failed to come to pass so far.

Aside from his bitter departure, there is also the matter that the player will be 30 come next summer and Beppe Marotta might not be necessarily interested in shelling out a large sum of money for a player that age and who plays with an often-reckless physical style.

Whether the rumours are true or baseless, what do you think, would you like ‘King Arturo’ back at Juventus?
