Reports: Juventus starlet Moise Kean set to sign first professional contract

And it seems as though Juventus are going to make sure it stays that way.

According to both La Gazzetta dello Sport and Corriero dello Sport, the 16-year-old Kean is close to signing his first professional contract with Juventus as agent Mino Railoa — yep, guess who! — and the club are reportedly finalizing terms of the deal. Kean has reportedly drawn interest from the likes of Arsenal and Manchester City, with Juve’s coming close to signing the teenager to his first pro contract a sign of both holding off said teams of interest and serving as a declaration of their intention to keep him around for a while.

Not bad for a player who is obviously being fast tracked through Juve’s youth setup and practicing with the senior squad during the current international break.

Outside of who Kean’s agent is, there’s nothing to dislike about the kid.

In 25 games with Juve’s Under-17 team, Kean scored 24 goals. In five goals with Juventus’ primavera side this season, Kean has scored five goals in all competitions (three in Primavera B, two in the UEFA Youth League).

.That’s production, folks. And when you consider he’s 16 years old playing against teenagers that are two or three years older than he is at the primavera level this season, it’s even the more impressive.

Kean, born in Vercelli, has also represented Italy at the lower youth levels, most recently appearing for the Azzurri’s Under-17 squad at the Under-17 European Championship and in a handful of friendlies in late-August and early-September.
