The second of our two games within five days. There are plenty of games coming up, and I can’t say I’m disappointed by that.
This Saturday, Juve heads into the San Siro to take on Milan. They are currently sitting in third place in the standings, five points below Juventus. Milan’s season so far has been highlighted by wins over Torino and Lazio, however, they did also fall 4-2 to Napoli. Defense has clearly been their Achilles heel this season as they have only scored two less goals than us, but have conceded over twice as many.
Juventus are coming off a scrappy 1-0 win over Lyon in the Champions League this past Tuesday. This was a game that saw Gianluigi Buffon prove he’s still the best in the world, Juan Cuadrado prove that he has a role to play on this team, and Mario Lemina sent off for two yellow cards. It was one of the more thrilling 1-0 games in recent memory, to say the least.
After not being available for selection on Tuesday, Giorgio Chiellini and Mario Mandzukic will reportedly not be available for this game, and may not be back for the midweek clash against Sampdoria, either. Daniele Rugani and Kwadwo Asamoah also remain on the injury list, but Rugani has returned to training with the team so there’s some good news mixed in on that front. Stephan Lichtsteiner is also available for selection again. No word yet on Claudio Marchisio’s availability. Moise Kean will also make his “You choose the lineup” debut.
Keep in mind, Juve also plays Sampdoria next Wednesday in a midweek bout.
All things considered, who would you like to see start on Saturday? Vote below! The results will be posted, as well as a few different takes on the lineup, including my own.
Remember, this is not what you expect the lineup to be, this is what you would do or what you would like to see.
