Game Time Thread: Juventus vs. Chievo Verona

Here, on the final day of January, Juventus can now see capturing three points catapult them top the top of the Serie A table. It may not be for very long considering Napoli plays Empoli in just a couple of hours after things kick off at the Bentegodi this afternoon.

But first, Juventus must take care of business against their pesky yet inconsistent opposition that just so happen to go by the nickname of 'Flying Donkeys.' That involves extending the winning streak another game further, avoiding any kind of slip up against a Chievo side that has been a tricky matchup over the last few years since they returned to Serie A.

Yet even with a new batch of injuries to try and overcome, Juventus has continued to plow through their opposition — no matter if it's a top five or six team or one that will be fighting to avoid Serie B for the next three-plus months. And I guess it helps having Paulo Dybala on your team, too, just in case you were wondering.

They'll try and continue this run of really good form in their stylish black tops that have brought them some pretty good fortune in the handful of times they've busted them out this season.

Maybe, just maybe, it will also mean that if Juve are to beat Chievo, the stay atop the standings will be more than a couple of hours long. So, come on, Empoli, help a buddy out. We were nice enough to loan Daniele Rugani to you a few years back, after all, and look where that got you.

I mean, I would, but it's about to be 3:30 in the morning here in California at kickoff, so maybe "shout" will be more like a weak uptick in volume. Pass the coffee and extra sugar, please.
