Not many people envisioned Juventus having two less points in the Champions League than domestically through the first six Serie A games of the season. But, as we've come to find out, it's the truth, and something that obviously tells us how much of a struggle it has been in Italy thus far.

But for as much as Juve have failed to get going in league play, they have the chance to seriously get an edge in what almost everybody expects to be a competitive group. Juventus haven't had many positive performances through the first batch of games, but the three points they captured in Manchester can certainly be looked at as a signature kind of win no matter what has happened in Serie A play this season.

The thing is, though, we don't know if Juventus from two weeks ago against Manchester City or the Serie A version of Juventus will show up. Maybe we should flip a coin to see what happens! At least, that's the most interesting part of Juventus' Champions League matchup against Sevilla on Wednesday night. We know what the starting lineup will be, we know about who's out injured, but we don't know if Juve will actually play like the team they're capable of being rather than the team they've been the first month or so of the season.

Juventus need to step things up. That's easy to say right now. They know it just as much as we do, I'm sure. All we can do is actually see if it happens. Maybe this will be one of those weird seasons where domestic form is as inconsistent as can be but the Champions League is where they make their mark. That's not so bad, right?
