Listen to BWRAO's overlord talk about Juventus' season so far on a podcast

Like a lot of folks, my day begins with rolling out of bed, shaking out the cobwebs and reaching for your phone to see who has been trying to contact you while you were trying to get as much sleep as humanly possible. For me, checking my email over the weekend brought the invitation to talk about Juventus outside of BWRAO, which isn't exactly something I would consider a frequent occurrence.

Enter the Soccertes Podcast. (GET IT, GUYS? IT'S A PUN!)

I had the opportunity to have a 20-minute-long conversation with co-host Michael Clair — who I ironically have followed through his baseball writings for the past couple of years — just a few short hours after Juve's 2-1 win over Manchester City to open up the Champions League play. So if you wanna think that I was in a much happier mood than after Juventus' first couple Serie A games, you're definitely correct in that assumption.

We (obviously) talked about Juventus' win over City, the start of the season as a whole, the current state of the four-time Serie A champions in a big-picture sense as well as the overall standing of Italian football as its currently constructed. (And, just because I was able to do so, a couple of Roma jokes somehow snuck in there at the very end. Sorry, but not really.)

Below is the episode that was released on Thursday. If you wanna fast forward through all the handegg and non-Juventus talk, yours truly appears around minute 38 or thereabouts.

You can also click here to go to the podcast episode's main page and see a rundown of how the show will go. There's also a picture of Mirko Vucinic and that infamous goal celebration of his where he's running around without any shorts on, which is a wonderful way to welcome people to a podcast episode I have been a part of.

Oh, and just for the record, I recorded my interview while sitting in the front passenger seat of my car while on my dinner break at work on Tuesday. Once you hit the big time, you get all the perks of being on podcast episodes. Go right ahead and be jealous.

And hopefully nobody develops a drinking game where they take another drink every time I saw "Uhhhhhh...." while starting to answer a question Michael asks me. That's always part of the fun when you get to listen to yourself being interviewed.
