Juventus are off to the Champions League final after drawing Real Madrid 1-1 on Wednesday night and winning the tie 3-2 on aggregate. Here is how it played out in all the glorious GIF action you could possibly ask for.

Both sides had early opportunities but failed to convert:

The referee pointed to the spot late in the first half after he deemed Giorgio Chiellini's challenge on James Rodriguez to be worthy of a penalty.

The challenge was reckless, but you rarely see a borderline foul like this get called in such a high profile match, especially with such a high degree of, shall we say, exaggeration from the fouled player. Cristiano Ronaldo stepped up and smashed the penalty down the middle to put Madrid up 1-0 on the night and ahead on away goals.

Juventus managed to scrape by until the halftime break with the aggregate draw intact, but as things stood, Madrid would advance on away goals. That just wouldn't do, so twelve minutes after the break Alvaro Morata scored another goal against his former side to give Juve the lead, after scoring the opener a week ago in the first leg.

With all the pressure now on Madrid's shoulders, they had no choice but to push numbers forward in hopes of a goal to even the tie and push the match to extra time. Juve had several chances to finish the tie off on the counter, the best of them falling to Claudio Marchisio.

Soon after, Real Madrid's last great chance fell to Gareth Bale's head. Just like the Welshman had done all night, he wasted it. The chance fell begging and so did any hopes of a repeat Champions League crown for the hosts.

It was certainly a memorable occasion as Juventus defeated the Galacticos and advance to the Final in Berlin. Now they're set to face off against Lionel Messi and Barcelona on June 6th -- will they leave fans with even more memories to cherish?
