Juventus did not go through the month of March unbeaten, but won when it really counted to stay on track in all three competitions. As of April 7th (so this rating includes an extra week from April, you'll live), Juventus are 14 points clear of a hapless Roma in second place, are through to the final of the Copa Italia and completed a 5-1 aggregate demolition of BVB Dortmund at the Westfalenstadion.
That is a pretty enviable month for Max Allegri, I would say, even though at times it has not been pretty especially against the provinciale.
Of the eight games in that period, Juve won six on the trot after starting off with a 1-1 tie against the draw experts from the capital and then a rare home loss against the Viola in the Coppa Italia. Here is how March (plus a week of April) went for the Bianconeri:
1-1 draw, away at AS Roma (Serie A) - Report
1-2 loss, home to Fiorentina (Copa Italia) - Report
1-0 win, home to Sassuolo (Serie A) - Report
1-0 win, away to Palermo (Serie A) - Report
3-0 win, away to Borussia Dortmund (Champions League) - Stream
1-0 win, home to Genoa (Serie A) - Report
2-0 win, home to Empoli (Serie A) - Report
3-0 win, away to Fiorentina (Copa Italia) - Report
So using a simple grading scale, how do you think Max did this month? Feel free to consider his tactics, team selection, in-game adjustments and any other criterion where he has been involved. Further, also take into consideration what he's doing with the youth squads and how he has rotated the squad, too.
