The chances to play with Juventus' first team have been few and far between for Federico Mattiello so far this season. Now he's going to get his chance to try and get consistent minutes with one of Serie A's relegation battlers.
It has been announced on Monday aka transfer deadline day that the 19-year-old midfielder has joined Chievo — who currently sits 18th in the Serie A table — on loan until the end of the 2014-15 season. The deal was first made public on the Lega Calcio website after Mattiello's contract was deposited.

This will be Mattiello's first loan spell away from the club after working his way through the youth ranks since joining the club in 2009. Mattiello has appeared in just two games with Juve this season, both as a late-game substitute back in November — a 7-0 win over Parma on Nov. 9 and 3-0 victory against Lazio two weeks later.
