Juventus and AC Milan. Just a good, old-fashioned Italian rivalry.
This first meeting of the season between Good and Evil — but not as evil as the other team from Milano, let's just set that for the record — has a little added panache than the last few games between the two of them. They be in sixth and seventh place, respectively, but all of two points separate the two in the Serie A standings. That's something that couldn't be said the last few seasons, with Juventus being so good and Milan struggling to do anything right whatsoever.
But this season, thanks to Milan's solid start and Juve's season-opening struggles, things are different.
Some of its for the good, the other part of it has caused our hair to be pulled out.
Yet here we are with Juventus and Milan both fighting for a spot in the top three in the Serie A standings as the beginning of December starts to peak its head out from around the corner. This is the time when things start to get serious, and there might be no more check on where this Juventus team stands than in a big-time rivalry game against a team that they need to jump over in the standings.
