Game Time Thread: Juventus vs. Hellas Verona

I like to think that a good number of the Juventus roster got home from training on Saturday afternoon, kicked their feet up for an evening of relaxation, maybe poured themselves a glass of vino or two and watched Roma face Palermo. And then when they saw the final score, they took a swig out of the glass of wine and had one simple, simple thought pop into their respective heads.

"This is our chance."

Or maybe something along those lines, but you know what I mean.

The chance to get some breathing room atop the Serie A standings once more comes tonight when Hellas Verona arrives at Juventus Stadium just three days after their 6-1 loss in the Coppa Italia. Welcome back, Hellas. Remember the last time you stepped on this field right here? Oh, right. How could you forget! What a memorable night that was!

Okay, maybe not very memorable for Hellas Verona, but sure as hell memorable for those of us who root for the winning team in Thursday night's Coppa Italia clash.

Can Juve replicate their 6-1 win over the Gialloblu in the Coppa Italia just a few days earlier? Can they even come close to it? Valid questions await answers, people! I mean, who doesn't want to see Carlos Tévez work his way around the Hellas Verona defense after watching some of Juventus' other strikers — and Paul Pogba for that matter — tear them to absolute shreds.

So go out and have some fun Juventus. Let's have another reason to celebrate afterward, too — even if it's not a 6-1 win. (Those are still cool and totally acceptable, though. Just keeping that option open.)

Starting lineups for both Juventus and Hellas Verona will be posted RIGHT HERE when they become available. There will be changes, oh yes. But unlike the last time Juventus played Hellas Verona, this will be the first choice starting lineup — mostly. So let's see if they can even come close to doing what most of the reserves did on Thursday night.
