OFFICIALLY OFFICIAL: Juventus buy Mauricio Isla, Cristian Pasquato outright

Another day, more co-ownership resolutions.

Friday brings us the news that Mauricio Isla's contract, as has been floating around the Italian press for the last 48 to 72 hours, is now officially 100 percent in Juventus' hands after a deal was struck before the co-ownership deadline arrived.

The details from Juventus' official website:

- termination in favour of Juventus of the current player sharing agreement (ex art. 102 bis N.O.I.F.) concerning the registration rights of the player Mauricio Anibal Isla. The consideration for the termination has been set at € 4.5 million to be paid by Juventus in the next two financial years. The contract of employment signed by the player will last until 30 June 2017;

- termination in favour of Juventus of the current player sharing agreement (ex art. 102 bis N.O.I.F.) concerning the registration rights of the player Cristian Pasquato. The consideration for the termination has been set at € 1.5 million to be paid by Juventus in the next two financial years. The contract of employment signed by the player will last until 30 June 2017.

As a refresher, Juventus bought the first half of Isla's contract from Udinese two summers ago — along with midfielder-turned-wingback Kwadwo Asamoah — for a price around €9.4 million. So, adding in Friday's piece of business to buy him outright, the total cost that Juventus paid Udinese for Isla's services is €13.9 million.

It's rather easy to say Isla has been anything close to worthy of such a price tag. Beppe Marotta took a gamble on a player coming off a serious knee injury, and Isla hasn't replicated the same kind of pre-surgery form his days at Udinese when he was one of the best wingbacks in Italy. While it's true that his playing time has been inconsistent over his two years in Turin under Antonio Conte, he hasn't exactly taken advantage of the chances he has gotten.

But for now, Isla is totally a Juventus player. Whether he is at the end of the transfer window still remains to be seen.
