When you saw the schedule released back in the summer, did you expect the second game between Juventus and Hellas Verona to be a match featuring two top five clubs? I bet you didn't. You probably figured Juve would be at the top of the table, but Verona? Eh, not so much.
But before more talk of today's match, there's just one thing I have to do first.
Yep, Luca Toni and Hellas Verona are Juventus' next opponent. You probably knew that if you saw the preview posted on this here website yesterday or read the first paragraph in this current thread. If you didn't, I won't hold it against you. JUST DON'T LET IT HAPPEN AGAIN.
But I digress.
Juventus vs. Hellas Verona is exactly what the league table says it is — No. 1 against No. 5. It's the club who is supposed to be where they are against the one who has surprised everybody. Now, Juve go into Verona's place looking to do what they've done in 13 of the past 14 league games. That's come away with all three points.
Sounds good to me, folks. Feel free to disagree. (Although I highly doubt it.)
Lineups will be posted RIGHT HERE when they become available. Let us welcome back Gigi Buffon with open arms. And let us also hope that he doesn't have to do anything of note. That will mean a Juventus win, right? Right.
