Seven days ago, you didn't really know what was going to happen in the second. Juventus had a 1-0 lead when the two teams came out of the locker room and played with fire like they were a bunch of little kids on the Fourth of July. It could have ended at 1-1 draw, it could have ended as something even worse than that.
But when it was all said and done, goals by Dani Osvaldo and Paul Pogba were the difference between Juventus going to Turkey with a comfortable lead on aggregate and not one at all.
In short: Juventus' first leg against Trabzonspor was a roller coaster ride of emotions if there ever was one.
Now the Bianconeri head to Turkey looking to move on in the Europa League. There's a 2-0 aggregate coming with Antonio Conte to Turkey, which is probably a nice thought considering what happened the last time Juve stepped onto Turkish soil and did a bunch of stupid things on an ever more stupid field.
Hold the lead down, get to the Sweet 16 of the Europa League. March Madness!
(Not like in college basketball, but that's pretty much a given with all of this.)
So grab your high-priced Simone Padoin jersey and pull up a chair. It's Juventus vs. Trabzonspor with a berth in the next round of the Europa League on the line. I couldn't think of anywhere else I'd rather see Juventus playing right about now.
Well, maybe a couple places. Like those games that were played yesterday. Dammit.
Starting lineups will be posted RIGHT HERE when they become available. Who's ready to see if Federico Peluso is going to get another start? I think that sound I hear is a bunch of crickets, but I'm not entirely sure.
