We've talked about why the Europa League matters to Juventus. We've talked about the match itself, even though it was clearly focused on Juventus and not the Turkish opponent they will be playing.
But before we prepare for this, I've got one question: Have you ever heard the Europa League lineup? I'm not asking you to bring up memories of the last time Juve were in this tournament because we know how that turned out, just asking a simple question.
Yay? Nay?
Either way, listen and learn. Hopefully for Juve' sake, we'll be listening to this thing a good number of times before the season is over. But hopefully not next season. No offense, Europa Leauge.
Now that we've got that out of the way, we can concentrate on the football at Juventus Stadium today.
Juventus vs. Trabzonspor in Turin for Leg 1 of the round of 32 in the Europa League. Not the European competition we all wanted Juventus to be playing in this time of year, but there's nothing to do about it now other than watch and hope Antonio Conte can guide his team to the final. I heard it's taking place at a pretty nice stadium some time in May.
Let's just be happy there aren't any stupid trips to Turkey and the subsequent field problems that come with it until seven days from now. (I'm not bitter at all, I swear. ... Okay, maybe a little.)
Lineups will be posted RIGHT HERE when they become available. And stay tuned after the match. Why? Because you never know if Antonio Conte might go back for Round 2 of everybody's new favorite iPhone game, Crush the Capello. I wonder if it's gaining any traction in the App Store. I should go check.
