The last time Juventus saw Palermo roll into Turin, the two clubs were going in completely different directions. Antonio Conte's squad had just won its second consecutive Serie A title, while Palermo and their crazy president Maurizio Zamparini were on their way to Serie B after a disastrous 2012-13 campaign.
We're long separated from that day back in May of 2013. And it's pretty easy to understand that not everything is like the way it was a little less than 18 months ago when Juventus carried around large signs celebrating their 31st Scudetto.
Some things have changed since that day at Juventus Stadium (Max Allegri taking over for Conte along the Juve sideline). Some things even remain the same these days (Juventus atop the top of the table, Zamparini being absolutely nuts). Times are different for sure, both in the big picture and the way each team is playing right now.
Juventus has started the last post-international break portion of its schedule in the exact opposite fashion many of us felt they should have. First, a draw on the road against Sassuolo. Then, a disappointing-as-all-can-be 1-0 loss to Olympiacos in Greece midweek. Six points in total available, one point actually secured.
So basically what I'm trying to say is this: Juventus is currently frustrating the living hell out of us right now.
How have our last four @SerieA_TIM encounters wth the Rosanero gone? Four wins, zero goals conceded.#JuvePalermo

You see, this is the kind of stuff I like to see. If say, Juventus wants to make it five straight wins over Palermo without allowing a goal, then I'd be totally okay with that. And if the Juve players want to take out a little bit of frustration from the last couple of games on Palermo — without getting sent off, of course — I would be totally okay with that, too.
Starting lineups for both Juventus and Palermo will be posted RIGHT HERE when they become available. As a note for all the United States Juventini, today's match will kickoff an hour later than usual. So enjoy that extra hour of sleep, and be ready for kickoff at 10 a.m. on the East Coast, or 7 a.m. out on the West. Either way, extra sleep is good, right?
