Game Time Thread: Juventus vs. Sassuolo

Serie A is back. Let us celebrate!

Pier Marco Tacca

Now that international duty for the month of October is over and done with, it's time to get back to what we like best. We get to watch Juventus play — and play often. There's Serie A. There's the Champions League. There's the latest flurry of games before the next international break arrives.

In just a matter of days, Juventus will be making the trip to Greece to face Olympiakos. But first, there's the domestic matter to deal with: The trip to Salerno to face Sassuolo.

Yes, the same Sassuolo team that is sitting bottom of the table heading into the seventh round of the Serie A schedule. And yes, the same Sassuolo side that features two of Italy's top young strikers — Domenico Berardi and Simone Zaza — that a lot of people want to see sporting biancoero this time next season.

We'll have to wait for that to happen, though. Juventus hope that the two talented young Italians will have a minimal impact rather than running completed wild all over the defense in just a short while. Can Juventus do just that and keep Berardi, Zaza and Co. quiet for 90-plus minutes? That's the hope, of course. Whether it's actually reality is still to be determined. That's why we're watching, right?

So let's hope the kids play well — to a point. Just don't score any goals, fellas. Save that for your next game when you're playing somebody not named Juventus. A thanks to the both of you in advance.

Lineups will be posted RIGHT HERE when they become available. And barring any last-minute shenanigans, Domenico Berardi will actually get to play against the club he should be part of next season.
